When I worked retail, there was a manager who would shut off the sign outside and turn off half the lights in the place about ten minutes before close.

He wanted to be in his car on his way home at about quarter after, period.

Happened plenty of times where I work. Kind of pisses me off seeing as my wife works nights and I work the day. So when I have to wait for a customer for about 20 minutes after closing time to come in and pay a bill that is over 1,000 dollars. It sort of pisses me off. I have a time to be home after closing hours. So yes, I can see how it is an inconvenience to the employee's.....not to mention it is disrespectful.

I worked retail for a year, and I always hated it when people came in right before closing. It was especially rough considering it often took us nearly an hour just to do our closing duties, and that couldn't begin until the customers were gone. x_x I will never work retail again!
