If I saw that in my house I would freak out! 
For some reason, snakes tend to run (or rather crawl) away from me whenever they see me. If I have to manually remove the snake from its present location, I find something large enough to house the snake, carefully coax it into entering the object and then take & release the poor animal somewhere into the nature, since I got lots of nature around me to choose from.
