Twitter, emails, forum signatures and of course site advertising and last but not least word of mouth.

I also have a blog and so far not really advertised it since it went online on the 1st but I get most of my traffic from Twitter, as you make sure you follow like mind people and when posting a link on there you use the hashtags, when the blog becomes more established I would probably add a Facebook page but I make sure all blog posts are liked so as to spread the word on Facebook. I have been looking at using advertising/promotion forums to advertise the blog but yet to find any that offer anything decent for blogs.
I am currently a member on ForuMansion and besides the website sub forum there is little in terms of help for blog owners, unlike forum ownerswho have a posting service and more, however the owner is working on adding features for blogs as well. Using exchange sections can also be helpful in getting people to comment on your blogs and maybe your best bet. Further more the owner of Post Loop is expanding in the future to include blog comments so well worth checking that site out as well.
The other thing to do is link up with other blogs and do comment swaps.
