what's with politicians kissing each other all the time?

why am i constantly seeing politicians kissing each other?

and the thing is, the person that's getting kissed is normally looking like they are creeped out by it yet let it happen and/or don't try to stop it from happening...

is anyone else noticing this or is it just me?

Like over in France and Italy they kiss each other for everything

very true, i'm italian and every time i see my nana i always give her a big kiss for hello and a big kiss for good bye, but that's family, those people are politicians, and american politicians at that, and sometimes strangers...

Over here in CR those things happen all the time with every kind of people. But we're used to it anyway.

Yes! My first time to Ecuador it freaked me out how much everyone wants to kiss each others cheeks! Giving some stranger of a woman a hug and a kiss just seemed wrong. So with my wife meeting all her friends I would stick out my hand for a shake instead. But would get a moment of confusion and they would then shake my hand.

But with politicians I think it is there of identifying if they are fellow aliens with there goal to take over the world.

Well, it's just a cultural misunderstanding after all. I know that calling people by their first name is rude in certain countries though. Or the phrase "Have a nice day" which its use is very reserved in Germany.
