No matter how much you plan, things may go wrong.

Have your plans ever gone terribly wrong?

What happened?

I planned to be living a life, having a career, doing well, being myself...then life happened, my mother declined, etc...

So your plans are just on hold for the moment. You can still do all those things.

Unlikely, once you're out of the field you trained for, you're not likely to get in again
Thats up to you though. You could try to get back into it if you were determined to.

lol very rarely do I have a plan B. But things worked out when I did have one.
Gotta be good with the pivot! :D

I hope so, but it's one of those situations where they want younger people or people with 10 years experience by this point. Technology moves so fast that you're out of touch so quickly if you're not in it.

Depends on the person doing the interviewing, but yeah that makes sense.

I do nothing when plans go wrong. The honest truth is that you will not be able to work things out and beating yourself up won't change anything.

Better to learn from your mistakes instead of flogging yourself for them.
