It's pretty much the same as California up there, huh?

Hahah, nooooo. Not by a long shot. Depends on where you're talking, though. I'd say SF if more like what's up here in Portland. It's a mix between Seattle and SF, but about 100k people smaller than Seattle. Lots of Californians finally making their way up here, though. Southern and central California are completely different beasts than Oregon.

san francisco is an excellent vacation destination homie..steep hills, bottleneck traffic, dirty streets..sourdough bread..homelessness. we have largest LGBT community..fog..cable cars

Meh. Been there 500 billion times. My friend's aunt and girlfriend lives there. Going out there is nothing different than going somewhere in the burbs, for me anyway.

It's probably a great tourist trap for people who aren't from around here. :P

Regardless of how lame or great the west coast happens to be, it's nice to finally have some peeps in or close to my time zone! :)

I wonder if there are other members from my country...

You might be the only one. :|

I'm from Pennsylvania, near Philly.

Perhaps I should clarify where I am actually from. I live in one of the poorest parts of California.
