I LOVED this book as a child. My daughter also loves this book. Ive read it about a billion times and she has probably read it about half as much.

I was thrilled to see they made it into a movie. Probably going to go see it over the weekend.

Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NOkQ4dYVaM

Plot: The film follows the imaginary adventures of a young boy named Max (Max Records), who is angry when his mother, Connie (Catherine Keener), invites her boyfriend (Mark Ruffalo) over. After he causes one mischievous antic after another, his mother tries to send him to his room. He ends up biting her and running away, feeling angry and unloved. He runs outside at night, through a fence until he stumbles upon a boat. He sails away to an island inhabited by seven imaginary monsters called the Wild Things, where they crown him as the ruler.

I LOVE THIS STORY. The images are so beautiful and it's just real sweet. I'm not sure if I'll like the movie, but it looks quite decent so I will watch it.

Went to go see it. Awesome movie, very well made. Should be winning some awards.

Maybe I'll go see it some time. Definitely sounds interesting, should be nice.

Might go look at it, I think i recall the book as a child but very blankly. Personally when I saw the previews for it I wasn't a big fan of the costumes that the 'wild things' wear. But I'll give the movie a chance nonetheless.

I too was another kid who loved the story when I was little. I WILL see this.

If you loved the story, you will love the movie. Although there is a couple depressing parts in the movie, its still pretty good!

Okay I will watch it, even though I know I'll cry. I cry in any movie. Srsly. I think I will wait for the hype to die down though...I don't want to be sharing a cinema with seventy seven year old kids.
