I was born in the north east and the map says the same thing. I guess the surprise is that it could pinpoint based on how I talk.

I live the North East and I talk like I am from Mississippi. This does not surprise me at all. My dad was in the military and the longest time he was stationed was at an Air Force base in Mississippi. I have never been able to completely lose the Southern accent.
