Ooo this is a good topic. I can't tell you how many times I've picked up a book and only realize after the fact that it has a film version.
I don't believe it's been done already - I would love to see a film adaptation to Stephen King's "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon."

I would like to see the Stoneheart trilogy by Charlie Fletcher made into movies. I think fans of the Harry Potter series might like that as well.
The Night Circus is a 2011 fantasy novel by Erin Morgenstern which I think would make for an interesting and entertaining movie.
I've heard of that book but I've not gotten around to reading it. I may have to check it out now that you find it entertaining.
