What is the template file I need to edit in mybb to allow for ads to display after the first post? I'm using mybb v. 1.6.1.

Thanks,

Andy.

I know in vB and IPB there is a place in the ACP to just insert a code and the software does the rest.

However I do not recommend placing ads after the 1st post in every topic on your forum. Its pretty annoying and I'm sure I am not the only person who thinks that. Stick to an old standard (a banner in the header or footer) and you should be able to have ads without annoying your community.

I'm with Nebulous on this, actually. Forum Promotion has something like this as one of their advertisement services, and I'm not exactly too fond of them. I'm not too fond of the signature ads services either, especially with so many links in one person's sig, that may or may not have effect. Not something I'd recommend or ever do either. When I was on SMF For Free there were ads after every first post, and I wasn't too crazy about that.

I agree with this 100%! Nothing will make me leave a forum faster than those annoying ads!
