It was man: one, bear: nil when a man up a tree captured this footage of him giving the animal a stern talking to.

From his position up the tree, the man films the bear padding around on the ground and walking toward a ladder resting on the tree.

The bear reaches the ladder and starts to climb it, pausing briefly for a quick snack on some dangling foliage.

I'm off: The bear scarpers away from the ladder, presumably in search of some less vocal food

This guy is very lucky that the bear decided to walk away. While they are beautiful animals, they can also be very aggressive. I live in what was called Black Bear Country and the bears attacked pets that were outside. They also broke into peoples homes and totally destroyed the inside looking for food. I came very close to being chased by a black bear while I was outside hanging laundry. I knew not to run so I just stood my ground and waved my arms in the air. The bear didn't like that he he ran back in the woods. Beautiful animals from afar but not when they get that close.
