America is way to far left for our own good.

I can't even begin to understand how you can say that and actually mean it. You do realize we lie far to the right of any other developed country, yes?
We have to face the truth, there is NO MONEY for Obamas programs.
You do realize several of those things filibustered listed in yellow up there are revenue increases and the other that would actually spend money are pretty insignificant.

[background=rgb(250, 246, 237)]C'mon guys, don't be willfully ignorant. This post is about filibusters. Even when Obama controlled both chambers of congress he didn't have 60 democrats in the senate and thus any bill could be kept from even being voted on by Republicans despite Democrat majorities in both the house and senate.[/background]

Trickle down and you know what you got?

We got Chevy's most successful year ever, and saved millions of manufacturing jobs.
He thinks you have to spend money to get out of debt. You can no more spend your way out of debt then you can dig your way out of a hole.
He's more right than you think. Right now almost half of our deficit is due to a loss in projected revenues due to the recession. If we had passed a larger stimulus package that got the economy going again and revenues back to projected levels, the stimulus package would easily pay for itself and the remaining increased revenues could go towards paying down the debt.

Facts are nasty things that get in the way of things one WHATS to believe.

Cause Bernie Sander is the shit! JK, I don't live in Vermont.

But to be honest I'm quite happy with my senators (Murray and Cantwell).

My congressional representative on the other hand is a Republican. She has zero grasp on any of the issues and is completely ignorant politically. I'll be voting against her for sure. She represents everything that is wrong with the house of representatives at the moment (extremely far right radicalism).

whats worse is we are buying garbage. Nothing designed to last
You realise this is how economies work, right? If you buy stuff that lasts forever, a lot of jobs are lost. In the end, the manufacturing and retail economies will collapse. Probably dragging some other stuff down with them.

The money disappears, REALLY? Disappears?
Well yes, money is mostly fictional. It can simply disappear. Bit of a shame when it happens, of course. What're you going to do about it, though? (Aside from not lending them anymore in the future.)

Unless you're a government.

Strange things can happen when you have complete(ish) control over your money. Sure, governments should save money on some things, but they absolutely shouldn't lay people off. At least, not when no-one else is hiring. See, if they fire someone, they still have to pay them (because letting them die on the streets is considered uncivilized), except now, they aren't working at all. At least when they're working for you, they pay taxes...

If people stop spending the government loses a lot of money (VAT). Companies have to lay off workers because they can't afford to keep them anymore. Those workers (workers no more) don't pay income taxes anymore (government receives less money) and have to be kept alive again (government loses money).

This can all sort of keep on going till no-one's working anymore and/or no country is willing to lend the government money anymore... then it all collapses.

Spending money as a government to encourage people to spend money is a way to spend your way out of debt. Whether or not they get it right is always bit of a question.

So you are going to vote for an Incumbent from EITHER chamber...... why?
It's the in thing to do, of course!

[background=rgb(250, 246, 237)]Because raising the debt limit was a routine thing that had never been a political issue. He would have had no reason to think that Republicans were going to throw a hissy fit and get our credit downgraded (rather than taking responsibility for the debt they created and commit to managing it responsibly).[/background]

[background=rgb(250, 246, 237)]Ron Paul has been warning America for three decades Americas fiscal collapse is ready

[background=rgb(250, 246, 237)]Considering that happens to almost any country at some point in it's history, it's something that doesn't take much balls to predict. And with his party doing everything they can to make it come true..[/background]

The Democratic party did not want the theft hung entirely on them.

Ron Paul has been warning America for three decades Americas fiscal collapse is ready, it just needs a trigger. China holds the gun and your in front. Take a guess who is going to get whacked?

The two year super majority is a myth the Republicans will not stop lying about.
