Why is it that some forums advertise for moderators and NEVER take the time to even get back to you? You take the time to fill out all the qualifications and answer their question: why do you think you would make a good moderator? only for them to ignore your so-called-application?

Completely out of the blue lol.

That's great Rev and I can see why Nebulous would ask you.

Well this applies for most staff group's.

If your in this situation, there not gonna get back to you straight away, all depending on their activity.

When/If I did request staff, I review there application and see if they match their CV.

You need patience and perhap's that that Admin, isn't going to be dedicated to the site so no point in waiting if you know that.

Well, i have a new Promotion Forum i need staff for, and i'm having trouble finding people who want the jobs lol!

I usually choose not to apply for staff jobs, I like to get to know who I am working with and whatnot, but when and if I choose to advertise for things such as staff members more preferably the 10-10's I always stick around for a good portion of time just to moderate that thread.

I don't use such threads as the best people for the job can always be found on your board and there is no better way to find them to pay attention to your members and spot people that you would want on your staff team if the need for staff arises then you know who to go to first. If you are looking for a job then I suggest just being a good active member who contributes to the forum and is the type of person they want to have on their staff team. This does require time and effort to pull off but the results you get will be worth all the time and effort spent on the board prior to becoming staff.
