Do you prefer a wired or wireless mouse and why?

it's good to have wireless keyboard and mouse to be more presentable but it's not mandatory also the wired ones are cheaper so.. you've got my pref :P

I don't care. I could go either way. I've used both before on different computers.

I prefer wired mice in most cases. The biggest reason is batteries. Even though I usually tried to keep a spare, I occasionally found myself with a dead mouse because the battery died and I didn't have a spare one.

Wired, I've not used a wireless mouse in a good number of years but I always thought the wireless technology was a bit finicky and not really worth the hassle... I imagine things have changed since then but its hard to get past first impressions

I use a wired mouse. I’ve never really used wireless so I’m just chillin with my wired mouse.

I use a wireless one and I honestly couldn't imagine having to use a wired one. It would just end up annoying me too much.

Wireless is just awesome. Longer battery life these days and no issues with connection feel great. The only downside at this point is price, so wireless for Laptop :)

Regards gaming I have a wired style gaming mouse :)

I'm currently using my laptop and I think I would prefer using a wireless mouse with it. That's kind of the whole point of a laptop.....you don't have all those cords and you can be a lot more mobile.

I actually enjoy a wireless mouse, the cord can be a pain at times. But I will never go wireless for a keyboard.

Since I have the desk space for wired connections, I generally use wired mice and keyboards. If I was given the preference, I prefer my keyboard wired, and my mouse wireless for basic stuff. If I am gaming, it has to be wired.

Recently bought a Logitech wireless keyboard that came with a free Logitech wireless mouse. After switching from wired to wireless, this is the best move I've made. No more messy and tangled wires to deal with. (y)

I have a wired mouse and I've tried the wireless briefly and maybe it was the battery that was low on power, but it seemed as if the mouse lagged a bit. I like the smooth flowing of my current mouse so I'll keep using it until it dies.

I used wired mouse for gaming and on my personal setup but wireless when I am at work as my desk can be a bit cluttered at work with all the computer stuff on it so wireless just makes it easier in my work life. But for gaming I have always found the mouse more responsive when it was wired in rather than wireless.

I use a wireless mouse for my laptop as it's easy and whatnot for me anyway. My gaming rig is all wired :) Speed and response time and not worrying about when the god damn battery is going to go off on me :P

Wired for desktop, wireless for laptop.. Simples!

I guess with laptops, you're generally confined to a smaller space so it just lends itself better to a wireless mouse.. ?

I prefer a wired mouse as well. But my new Logitech ergonomical TrackBall didn't come with that option anymore. The people at Best Buy looked at me like it was the oddest question they heard of when I asked if they carried a WIRED mouse.
While you have the convenience & portability with a wireless, that convenience comes with a price. This mouse acts up so much. Seems the advances they make in technology only advances their pocketbooks.
