Woman removed from train after talking too loudly

A young woman who insisted on noisily chatting on her cell phone throughout a marathon 15-hour train ride was forcibly removed by police following numerous passenger complaints.



The woman was traveling on Amtrak's Coast Starlight, which runs between Los Angeles and Seattle, Washington, and was speaking loudly enough to annoy surrounding passengers, said Amtrak spokesman Vernay Graham.

I found this ridiculous! A lot of people talk loudly on the phone on train journey's yet they don't get removed.. People over here in the UK do it on buses and trains. Granted its annoying, but you just have to try to ignore them. Why bring the police into it?

@Boogie: I suppose since it was for 15 hours straight. Most people here only talk for 1/2 hours at most. Well what I've heard. And plenty of people had complained, though I think it really depends on her behaviour if they asked her to quieten down.
