There are few things more annoying than losing or forgetting your wallet.

And even fewer than the friend who cannot cough up for a round of drinks because they ‘left their wallet at home’.

So an American company has devised a solution, designing a wallet fitted with a mini-sensor to prevent it getting lost.

Delaware-based firm Wooletco raised £108,000 on Kickstarter to fund the accessory, known as a Woolet, which will cost £67.

It syncs to a phone over Bluetooth, with a distance tracker and a ‘howling’ alarm among its features.

If left behind, a linked-up phone will vibrate – and vice-versa if the phone is lost.

It has a maximum range of 200 ft, and works with iOS and Android.

Woolets can be pre-ordered from Kickstarter.

The devices are expected to ship in May this year.

So no excuses for turning up to the pub without any cash.
