I'm on the morning shift (6am - 2:30pm) until the middle of August. This was my 1st week of it. Its nice to have the whole rest of the day off after 2:30.. I wish I could have this shift all year.

That's a great shift you have now. Shame it won't last forever.



I prefer to work the morning shift which would be 7am - 3pm. Unfortunately, there are no openings on that shift so I work nights.

I prefer going in early.



I've been working 0600 to 1400 for years now.



Back when I worked at the jail I was on a 0200 to 1000 half the week and 0400 to 1200 the other half for ten years or so.

I don't mind the shifts I work now - I prefer afternoon's to evenings, put it that way. I mean, I can't really complain, my latest shift is 8:15pm. I'm not a great early riser, but if I was given morning's I wouldn't mind.

I used to start at 5.00AM until anywhere between 2PM and 4PM. Which was okay, at the time.

Though, I've been switched over to 9.00AM-6.30PM (getting home about 7.30PM) which for my life at the moment, is much, much better.

I work.. er.. shifts.



Like, I'll do 4 sets of mornings (0700-1500), 3 days off, then 3 afternoons (1400-0000), then 3 days off, then 4 nights (2200-0700) on a shift pattern.



I love it, it's varied. Keeps me on my toes.

I used to work 7am till 2pm, but now I usually work 8:20am to 4:20pm. If I can get in a 7:30am then I work till 4pm and have an hour break.



Earliest I can leave work is 4pm, latest I can get in is 9:30am. So long as I do my hours it's quite flexible.

I do prefer 7 till 2. Working through lunch then you get the whole afternoon, it was nice.

I usually work the morning shift but now because of people on holiday, I'm filling in on the 4pm - midnight shift. I hate this and can't wait to get back to my normal hours.
