Do you ever try to work on yourself?

What qualities or character traits do you want to work on?

What steps are / would you take to make those changes?

Yes, I think it is really important to be self reflective and to strive for self improvement. I try to be open to critiques and advice from other people. A close friend who used to work with me for instance highlighted a few areas that I should work on. One of these was to help address my own issues with anxiety and depression. The other was a personal habit I had which was upsetting her. Regarding the second point, I discussed it with her and I don't intentionally hurt people so I made a conscious effort to stop the behaviour. I also actively try to improve my understandings of the social sciences and politics through reading somewhat of a variety of writing in the fields as well as through studying. When it came to studying, I would choose assignments that were more difficult for me personally as that also meant they provided the most potential for my own growth. The books I read can jump around a lot in terms of subject material and at times is quite difficult for me to comprehend but I just try my best to comprehend it. Some books I have read, I have had to read particular paragraphs over 10 times to get some understanding.

I'm always striving to be someone who leaves a good impression on others I come into contact with, whether that be at work, out of work, online. I don't really want to be someone who is rude or obtuse or hateful. You never know what someone is going through, how their life is, etc. I want to be understanding and I want to learn and make a difference in people's lives.

All of the time. I do believe I've come a long way. I have to say that I am always a work in progress on the road to being a better, moral, and non judgmental human being.

I am always wanting to work on myself (physically), then I eat something bad or get too lazy to exercise and then I feel bad.

As far as working on myself mentally, I am not saying I am perfect but I don't think there is really anything to do in that department.
