Who was the worst teacher you've ever had? What did they do?

From as far back as I can remember all the way through Everything and then on to technical classes for work.... I don't remember a truly BAD teacher.

I had some that I would score as mediocre, which may be the same thing. They did not inspire learning, they didn't appear to be all that comfortable with their subject (a middle school math teacher comes to mind in that category, she could DO math, but she had little business teaching it, maybe she would have been better off doing taxes for a living), some appeared to be just "doing a job", and so on. But even Miss Lousy Math Teacher, wasn't "bad", she just wasn't Good.

They all kept order in the class room, got through the assignments and passed out quizzes, and me and the rest of the class of whateveritwas, survived and moved on.

I've seen really bad teachers in the flesh. My brother had one in elementary school who was pathetic and ended up getting FIRED from the public school system halfway through the year due to multiple infractions including slapping more than one student. Today, she would have been arrested for child abuse, back then, she just got fired.

5th grade, Nicholas Q. Olson.

... So, since he embarrassed me, I embarrassed him and said, very loudly, "It's strange that I've had perfect grades till now isn't it? You obviously really SUCK as a teacher!" The whole classroom roared with laughter and Olson turned about 9 different shades of red.

And Then???

I can't recall any specific teachers who were complete and utter jerks or terrible at their job. I really only remember the great teachers I had. :o New thread idea!

Anyway, one of my math teachers was a jerk and wouldn't help me much when I needed it. I'm really bad at math, but they just put me into a "remedial" class where we did nothing but dick around.

Probably my 11th grade English teacher. She was zonked out on pills (or weed, we all assumed) ALL the time. She would pass out worksheets every day and have the T.A.'s grade them ...and the T.A.'s weren't exactly ethical in their grading process either. You'd be lucky if one of them was your friend, then you could expect to get 100% on all your assignments.
