What are your thoughts on the XenForo software?

(that’s the forum software OT & FA use)

It’s the best forum software out there. Free forum softwares are just not what they used to be, and other paid softwares, such as IPB, are way too expensive, but even then I prefer XenForo to IPB regardless of the price.

I've owned one forum using Xenforo and it was really confusing at first but I got used to it. It's a really fun software to use and create forums with.

I love XF, but it's slowly starting to fall behind the times. IPS is now clearly ahead of it, 2.3 so far is a dark mode, and while IPS is more expensive, there is clearly more active attention being put into IPS 5 than 2.3 at present, though we have no heard about XF3, so hopefully there's something good on the horizon. I love XF, I want it to succeed, but it's time for them to really step up.

I've grown very accustomed to Xenforo. I don't use it for my own community, but I like to use it as a member. The layout, features, and add-ons all seem too amazing. I think it's one, if not my #1 favorite forum software. If I ever consider paid forum software one day, this is the first of my choice.

Easily the best software available today IMHO. Rooted in the old vBulletin 3.x days, it was an easy choice for me to move to it when vBulletin was bought by Internet Brands & Kier and the gang moved onto making Xenforo instead of continuing to stay with vBulletin.

I feel Xenforo is one of the best forum software out there right now. Although I don't run a forum, as a member of forums that use it, I love all the features it offers. The UI and features provide a really good user experience.

MyBB and phpBB are entry level, XF is for the pro's.

I don't think I would go that far, don't get me wrong I love Xenforo however I think IPS is the top dog.
Just my opinion, however.

Why I have thought about changing A-I to xenForo and using my IPS for mainly themes and addons for both software platforms. lol

XF also has a dark theme

I checked out the Demo of xenForo my only turn-off as an admin would be the no dark mode for the admin CP unless there is a mod or you can alter the CSS via the admin CP. IC comes with a dark theme for the admin CP by default.

Yeah, I have a dark ACP, it's easily possible. I think 2.3 will include a dark ACP skin, as well.

Invision Community all the way ! Xenforo staff is very rude if you need them, made the mistake once to buy a license from that scam Xenforo.
Never any penny more to XF. Invision is an awesome community !
