Yahoo should be proud.

They have successfully made their email almost unusable with 'gee whiz' features and options that nobody wants, enabled as the default. And it is exactly the same thing they did with their best feature, Yahoo Chat, it was one of the best going. Now it simply doesn't work most of the time.

Kind of like what MS did with Hotmail. Take a good service and make it totally and hopelessly pathetic.

Time to start switching stuff over to the terrible G word email before Yahoo finishes off their to do list for going bankrupt.

I use inbox.com for emails. It seems to work just fine. I like Yahoo, but I only use it for its messenger service.

I agree that Yahoo has become pathetic. I have, however, found that if I switch to just basic Yahoo all the bells and whistles go away. Basic works just fine for me. The only thing I cannot do using basic is use Yahoo Messenger. That's okay too as I hardly ever use it anymore. The two major reasons I'm not going to switch email accounts is because of my business contacts. There are way too many to notify of the change. The other reason is because I have my Yahoo email address on my business cards. The cards were very expensive and I have no desire to waste money having new ones made.

I've given up on managing email accounts through their respective interfaces. Just hooked everything into Thunderbird, one interface, six accounts.

The new version always messes up for me. Saying "the message cannot be displayed" often times but when I switch over to the old style, everything works fine. :|

Same with me. I just hope they don't remove the basic (old style) and time soon!

^ ^ This. Then the idiotic changes don't matter.

^ Not sure what happened earlier but it's working fine right now.
