If you had a year off, what would you want to do? accomplish?

I'm going to have "a year off" starting in about a month.

I intend to finish working on a couple of books and arguing with publishers after I find somebody that will proofread them and finish it.

A year off from what school, work? If i had a year off from either i would use it to get back in shape.

If I had a year off, I'd travel the world spending a couple weeks in a different country. How I would pay for that adventure, I have no idea.

I'd accomplish absolutely nothing knowing me
Or rather, I'd watch a few movies, read a few books, watch some shows and read some comics and accomplish next to nothing besides that. I maintain high levels of inactivity during my holidays with the occasional burst of motivation.

If I had a year off, I'd travel the world spending a couple weeks in a different country. How I would pay for that adventure, I have no idea.

I'd also love to spend a year travelling and like you I don't know how I'd pay for it. I wouldn't be in a hurry or make a big effort to travel to long list of countries. I'd prefer to take my time, enjoy my travels and see the stuff I want to see.
