For me, when my computer gets dust (Trust me, it is a dust collecting machine) the fan is REALLY loud. For Example, when I turned it on today it sounded like a chainsaw

That it doesn't have more GB of memory. But that's be being critical.

No PCI(-E) sockets

I am looking to upgrade as soon as I can but for right now it's serving the purpose. It also doesn't help that I have no other options (right now) than to use dial up service.

Not enough ram.. It runs slow if I dont restart it every so often..

Erm.... It like to freeze sometimes and can be slow loading things up.

Same with my laptop. Also when it gets warm it starts taking me to random crap. Simple fix for that is to put it on sleep (press the power button) wait a few minutes, and turn it back on again. Works like a charm!

My laptop collects dust too and I have no idea how.

Sometimes my laptop likes to get screwed when a song comes on, but apparently it's just a bad socket.

For me, it's that the damn thing doesn't get up in the morning and make my coffee. I'll figure out how to make it do that soon.

You need a robot.

It freezes from time to time but overall I love it! Comparing my old one to this one is like comparing Christopher Reeves to The Flash in terms of speed on foot.

Probably the lack of hard drive space and ram. It's 2GB/250GB, but I want to add more cause it's around 140GB free. Yet, it runs relatively slow.

I don't really have any complaints about my computer, even though it's almost an antique, being 8 years old lol.

However, the reason I posted in this thread was because I noticed one or two folks complaining about slow systems.

There are many reasons why a system can be slow ranging from far too many programmes running on startup etc to malware and virus issues as well as some configuration issues and a general lack of hardware resources.

So, with that in mind I recommend that anyone with a slow system takes a look at this thread HERE. It contains lots of tips and tricks for getting the best out of your system.
