Your own personal robot for 2 thousand so Americans can be a little fatter.

I guess I could see it, maybe, for people with medical weight restrictions (maybe 10 pounds?); but, Stairs? escalators? curbs? Also, if it carried your purchases from grocery store to car in parking lot, how heavy is the thing to pick up & put in the car?

I could see it being useful for those with disabilities who need help carrying stuff ( say from the grocery store to their vehicle, etc.) or for the elderly and infirmed.

Otherwise, not so much.
 
Only if you're light enough not to exceed the weight limit, which I highly doubt any adult human is.

It’s not to helpful until it can do stairs and curbs. This would be great for the elderly but you know fat Americans are going to get one.

Some stores that I go to furnish motorized carts for handicapped patrons; Walmart, Costco, some of the bigger grocery stores. Why not these things?

They are in every store now and it’s usually not because they have a medical condition it’s usually because they are fat.
But as others mentioned they are great for level surfaces just not stairs.
