What is one song that your parents played that makes you think of them?

Did your parents have good taste in music? What did they like to listen to?

Do you like the same type of music they liked?

:family:

My mother always listened to country like The Chicks, Garth Brooks, and Dolly Parton. She also likes Elton John.

My late dad liked Charlie Pride. He liked Creedence Clearwater Revival. Anyway, I am no huge fans of those artists, but they aren't bad.

My mother listened to a lot of Dutch music that probably no one here will know. I like some of it, but not all. I like about all of the music my father listens to, ranging from classical (instrumental) and movie soundtracks to Neil Diamond and the Beatles.

When I was really little, the music my Mom listened to was a lot closer to my own tastes - nowadays, she listens to Christian music and country music, neither do I particularly enjoy. I can't think of anyone song in-particular that I associate with her. I associate anything to do with Elvis with my grandmother, and the song Riding with Private Malone with my grandfather, however.

My mom loved classic rock and 80's which happens to be my fav genres too. I always think of her when I am listening to music.

My mum's favourite songs were always Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader and Uptown Girl by Billy Joel. Whenever I hear these songs it makes me think of my mum.

My mum used to listen to a lot of The Carpenters and Patsy Cline as well which I also enjoy.
