Can you tell me about your religious beliefs/spiritual beliefs?

What is your religion?

Why are your beliefs correct?

Well, I was born in a Christian joke of a family and forcibly raised as such against my will. Going to church every Sunday was mandatory for everyone in order to graduate from the elementary school (I believe it still is, but I'm not 100% sure), which is something I deeply resented, since I never had (and still don't have) any interest in Christianity or any other religion whatsoever.

Do I believe in God? No, I don't. Do I believe in organized religion being nothing more than a mean to control the masses by instilling in them a fear of God and eternal suffering in hell if they don't behave the way God commands them to? Yes I do. Not to mention the easy money people give to the Church, which the priests use to improve their own lifestyles.

Why are my beliefs correct? Because, unlike the existence of God, they have been proven.

athiest...........and proud of it

I have been an Atheist for 18 years. I was brought up in a strict Christian house hold. My mom and my step father are Baptist. My father and his wife were Presbyterian. I've read the Bible and I thought it was an absurd immoral book that teaches people to hate and it holds no place in society. Due to an absence of objective evidence and me reaching a conclusion that deities do not exist and more than likely never have existed. So I became an Atheist, which is not a religion nor is it a religious belief.

Not sure what I am. I grew up in a non-religious family and household. We never spoke of god or went to church. We just lived our lives without incorporating religion into it. Part of me wants to think my dead family and friends are in a better place and I'll be there too one day, but its probably just LIGHTS OUT when we're gone.

I believe in some aspects of The Satanic Temple and I'm part of the Prismatic Light Church but I don't really practice either religion. For those not familiar with the Prismatic Light Church, here's a link to their official website: https://prismaticlightchurch.org/

I'm an ex-Christian. Raised Christian Reformed. Dabbled in Protestant. I left over a decade ago. I always had doubts & nothing made sense. The bible is full of contradictions.
I don't like labels so I don't call myself anything other than a human being. Some people ask how can you have morals without a god. Easy. I don't have to prove to man or a god to get into a proverbial heaven. I don't have morals for a reward. I do it because it's the right thing to do. I believe in common courtesy, common decency, & respect. I just ask for the same in return.

Grew up in a Methodist (UMC) family, went to church every Sunday morning. Didn't matter the weather or how you felt, you went.

After coming out as gay back when I was 18yo, I all-but-fell away from the Church for a long time; at present, I currently attend a Seventh-Day Adventist church (attend twice a week - Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings) and have finally found a loving caring place with interesting, caring and friendly people.
