I have two half siblings that I have a relationship with and we see each other. I have a half sister on my father's side who has nothing to do with me and a bunch of other illegitimate siblings out there that I'll never meet.

i dont have one with my younger sister she said that all my medical condition were in my head (which they arent doctors dx me with them all)

Not necessarily, we all had moments where we didn't talk much to each other as kids and adults. On the other hand, we had very good social relationships from time to time. It kind of goes back and forth. We have pretty consistent social relationships at this time.

I feel like I am closer with my brother now even though he’s in another state. We resented each other a lot as children but now that most of our family has passed, we are basically all we have left!

I am sorry to hear about your family. It's always good to know when you have at least one family member you can be close with.

Yeah, I miss having a family. That’s for sure. I can count family members I’m close with on one hand. Even then I’d have some extra fingers.

That really does suck. I'm 31 and I've lived with my parents and brother 30/31 years of my life. My sister got a place of her own about 2-3 years ago.

Maybe, but I never really wanted to live alone. I expect when my parents pass on I'll either a.) have a girlfriend/wife by then, b.) live with my brother, or c.) live alone.

Opposite of me, I’ve lived on my own since I was 18. Probably 5 of those years I lived completely solo on my own but the rest I’ve either been living with a roommate, partner and/or my daughter (who currently lives with me). Those 5 years I was completely solo were nice and I never really felt alone because I had pets and friends.

I'm glad to hear you've been able to handle it at ease. I just feel I'd become depressed if I lived alone due to a lack of social interaction.

For me, social interaction is overrated and I can happily go for days without talking to absolutely anyone beyond necessary minimum. Prolonged social interaction drains me mentally, making me go mental.

Well if you tried living alone you'd see its not that bad.

Depends on the people you're interacting with. Some people can be energy vampires thats for sure!
