its about gaming!...............how is that mature?

you run your forum how you want to..............if it survives then good, you made it work[/quote]

You sound like a real troll.

It may be about gaming, but we don't act like freaking 3 year olds, or crack jokes.

The only immature member on there is a guy named Francis and he's a real geek.

We don't really throw profanity, neither do we spam.[/quote]

sounds boring to me.............excuse me while i go off and have fun elsewhere:dance:

like i said...you run your forum how you want to run it..............ive seen friends set up forums that have lots more memebers than you with lot less restrictive rules and they have floundered

and please dont insult me by calling me a troll cos you are way wide of the mark there

Hypocritical?

I don't want people making stupid posts and threads about their damn fetishes and crap.

and the spelling and grammar rule is there, because I'm tired of seeing posts by new members that don't even use good grammar or anything.

Why do you think my forum would be boring?

I have those rules set to keep order in the forum.

I don't want goddamn spam and crap everywhere.

All I'm simply saying that you need to make sure your spelling and grammar is in check (which it is not) before you go and tell others to watch theirs.

@Dogdays; please don't reply to a staff message, they're simply posted to remind everyone, not to dispute.

Users like to see forums that have rules (or so I've noticed) but not to many.

I personally think you have rules that are common sense.... Most people don't post about fetishes etc.

Porn don't happen on forums unless the user is a spam bot.

You know, it's all common sense.

For me, I wouldn't join you forum as you seem really intense on gammer and spelling. Well i'm dyslexic, so struggle with that.

You wanted peoples opinions, and you got them. :/

Well..... I didnt know that

The rule doesn't apply to users with dyslexia.

The spelling and grammar rule is users who throw being proper and mature out the window.

How are you going to know a user has dyslexia? And your rules need to be apply to everyone, not just for a particular group of members.

But you didn't say that in the original post.

And how would you know if a member has it? Some people arent as open as me

I'm sorry but the grammar you use, in every post you make, is utterly appalling!

I shudder to think what your definition of good grammar would be.

Guys, can you not see that a troll has escaped?

Please don't feed him.

its very narrow focussed...........im on a model making forum which you would think would be quite narrow focussed to........but it isnt...we have a very active section for jokes/games/every thing else...and that keeps it fun.....in 4 years i have only seen one occasion of spamming!

im on another forum which has over 55k members.........you see 250+ new threads a day.......i can remember when 5000 members and guests at once would cause the server to crash
laugh.gif

as for spam............spammer baiting is good sport
tongue.gif
.....it actually a game for some of us to spot them before the mods do and report them (and have fun first before they get banned)

as for good grammar..........what if you get members who are dyslexic or do not have english as thier first language...will you ban them?

They don't get a ban, they get a notice in their PM box to read the rules.

but what if they can not spell cos they are dyslexic or can not speak/write english properly?

Here or on my forum?

I make mistakes sometimes and it's a fact of life.

Are you talking to me, oh ungrammatical one?

Here, obviously. Why would I wish to frequent your forum when you are this aggressive outside of it?
fighting0030.gif

Well there are some people who cause me aggressiveness.

Specifically people like, beowulf and his immaturity.

So you have just gone back on what you said earlier.

'The rule doesn't apply to users with dyslexia.'

Have tidied up your rules a bit. Two have been made one rule and if anything needs to be removed do so.

1. No use of strong language. Hovever if it's in context (e.g.-A book, video game, television show, etc.) or a quote or in/or from a game/music/review/etc, it's alright.)

2. No pornography allowed. But nude art (e.g.-Micheangelo's David/ecchi etc.) please use the spoiler code.
Code:
<insert your spoiler code here>

3. Deceptions of cruelty, blood, gore, and dismemberment is prohibited without notifying clearly. However, gameplay videos and let's play of M-rated games are fine.

4. Spamming, trolling, hacking and piracy discussions of raids, gambling, drinking, and the like are prohibited.

5. Do not insult or flame anyone, no matter what the cause. A playful, you idiot etc is allowed. No racial, religious, or other slurs either.

6. You may not ask for a moderator position. Moderators are people whom we consider to be good members who make sure everything goes right.

7. Do not post links to shock sites, and screamers, and crap like that. We don't need that stuff in our forum.

8. Do not create multiple accounts. Moderators are able to view IP addresses, and anyone caught with multiple accounts will get all the accounts deleted and have their IP banned.

9. You may not have oversized signatures/avatars on this forum as it makes most things difficult to read.

10. Avatars/Signatures may not have anything offensive or disturbing.

11. Do not type using all capital letters. This is considered shouting on the internet and is very annoying.

12. Do not post large pictures. Some members have dial-up or slow connections, and not to mention they just piss people off.

13. Be mature and friendly, please (with the exception of the Role-Play board, in which all hell can break loose).

14. Double-posting is prohibited. Except if you are bumping your thread and 24 hours have passed.

15. Necroposting (posting in a dead and inactive topic) is discouraged, unless you have a valid point to bring to the discussion.

16. Please keep your anime, furry (beastality), video game etc 'fetishes' to yourself, we do not want that on our forum.

17. Please do not make a thread for advertising your site, if you must advertise this can be done n your signature.

18. Videos that are posted must be at least appropriate to 13 years and under, but there are exceptions such as, video game reviewers, reviews, M-rated games, Let's Plays etc.

19. Please use use proper grammar and spelling at all times.
