Yes, we've already had a thread like this within the past and I was probably even the one that made it but after digging through forum discussion for ten pages worth of threads, I decided that enough time has went by for new discussion involving this to occur. How did you come up with your user-name? Do you change your user-name often? Personally, I try not to change my name too often but sometimes it feels needed, even if it's not.
I've had a couple of names over the last four years so I'll just list the ones that mattered to me..
TGR or The Golden Role: This was the first name that I ever went by on forums, I don't even remember how I came up with it but it stuck.
David Cross: I went to an independent wrestling promotion and there was a wrestler named Chris Cross (I kept saying applesauce after hearing it), so I decided to spin it around and make my own wrestler name. The guy from the Chipmunks movie ripped off my name for the record.
Wes Draven: Eric Draven is the main protagonist from The Crow, Wes Craven is a director that created numerous popular franchises such as Scream and a Nightmare on Elm Street, I mixed the two.
Orion: Gail Brewer once wrote a book entitled Orion that featured a famous celebrity faking his death to get away from the fame however, he could not continuously stay away so he wore a mask (as a gimmick) and started playing for shows. This was written a little bit before the death of Elvis Presley and miraculously and infamously, it turned out to be accurate in numerous aspects of Elvis' life. Perhaps coincidentally, after Elvis' death, a character rose going by the name of Orion, and the singer sounded exactly like Elvis Presley, it was believed that there was two lead singers because they sounded different slightly and whenever the singer returned on stage after going to his bus for a moment, his clothes were no longer moist with his own sweat. (Far-fetched) Years later, the book Orion has been taken off of the shelf, and whilst I'm not particularly sure as to whether or not I believe any of the conspiracies it was very interesting and I had to pay homage to it.
