Talking about out in the real world... Not on the internet.

Do you use Bad Language / Obscenities / Curse Words / (whatever you happen to call them)?

Do you use it in your regular vocabulary or do you only use these words around people you are comfortable with or maybe not at all?

What are your thoughts on these words?

Only around people I am comfortable with. Even then I don't use them that much. Its just not part of my regular language.

I do not use bad language even around people I know. I might utter something under my breath if I'm really angry but never out loud.

Only around people who won't tattle on me to my parents. I'm 15, almost 16, and people still tattle on people who curse, wtf?

Yea I swear.. Although not as much as I used to. My mums partner hates swearing so mum has had to curb her language alot, And so have I.

I don't like hearing kids swear though, or really foul language. It also really annoys me when someone is f'ing and blinding.. I'll actually get up and leave from the place.

yes...but only around people i am comfortable with

ive been in the military where its acceptable...........ive worked in engineering where its a very male oriented environment and its acceptable...............ive also worked where guys were outnumbered 20 to 1 by women and that was where i heard language that made me cringe!

I try not to use them even when around people I am comfortable with. Never use it in front of people I don't know.

Swearing is a norm for me, really, but only around certain people like my family and friends. I lapse between formal and casual speech, depending upon who I am around. Even online, say on IM, when I'm around certain people I swear quite a bit. With others, not so much.

I've never understood the problem with swearing. It's a way of expressing your ****ing feelings.

Although I am fine with using swear words, I seldom do, offline or online. I am more likely to slip into my native tongue to rant.

I tend to use stupid things like Yikes and Crimony around my daughter and co-workers. Worst I seem to come up with is shit and that's usually only when pain is involved..

Now, if I'm alone and have done something really stupid - the f bomb barely lands before I am lobbing about another:P

Eh, it depends.

I have friends who don't cuss, and since they don't I don't cuss around them, since most of them don't cuss because they don't like it, so I try to be respectful.

I also don't swear in front of adults or people I don't know.

I rarely cuss if I'm not mad, though. Usually when I cuss it's because I'm mad, otherwise I'll use another adjective/adverb :3

Use to have a manager that would cuss. One da he asked why everone laughed when he cussed. And one of my co-workers replied. Well it isn't very professional and it doesn't seem like you. Well perhaps he should have kept cussing cuz he started drinking pepto by the bottle when he gave it up.

It was basically his stress management. He would go in the back room and cuss away for a tad and be all nice to everyone after his little cuss fit.

I never curse around adults out of respect. There's only ever been one time I've cursed at an adult and that was because I was really heated and she was decided it was okay to mouth off to me after she hit my car. Other than that, I curse on and off, but it's very rare. It's usually around friends, but even that's rare, it has more chance of coming out when/if I'm angry.

Around those I'm comfortable with or if I hit my foot, etc, yeah there's going to be some not so pretty words.

Around those I am comfy with a curse here and there.

Me to my mom after we watched a TV show - Lord [??] is a dick.

Only around people I am comfortable with. Even then I don't use them that much. Its just not part of my regular language.
Same here, Nebby Webby....

Swearing and using bad language were never a big part of my vocabulary.

Now, I use a few of those words when I'm really angry, even though what I consider swearing, most people wouldn't even think of as bad language.
That's usually when I'm by myself and no one else is around.

Yes, I use bad language.

I sprinkle them in my daily speak, even at work but only with co-workers I know who started doing it first.

My thoughts are they are fucking awesome.

I'm Irish so I'm definitely free and easy with it! Not before someone whom I know doesn't swear/approve of swearing though out of respect (unless I don't like them to begin with!)
