If Americans wants to see racism on display, walk through our inner cities. Many of our inner cities are and have been run by compassionate Democrats (many who are black) for decades. Writer Jim Quinn outlined in his article "30 Blocks of Racism, Incompetence & Collapse" published on the blog The Burning Platform, the horrible living conditions that poor blacks endure in West Philadelphia where the majority of the leaders are black:

Philadelphia’s mayor is black. Its previous mayor was black. Its City Council is overwhelmingly black, with a few Hispanics and liberal union loving whites sprinkled in. Its police chief is black. Its fire commissioner is black. Its school district is run by blacks. The population of West Philly is 76% black. And you know who is racist? The black leadership of Philadelphia is racist.

Yeah.

And.

So?
I believe his point above was that if Americans really, really want to see racism at work, just take a stroll through any inner city neighborhood of record; just make sure you have a helmet & flak vest with you in some of those areas...

Let's see....

Philadelphia.

Washington D.C.

Detroit.

Chicago.

Wonderful examples of success of a major city under multiple Democratic administrations.
Like I said, if we want to see examples of racism - and shoddy political machinations - at work, just travel to most any big city in the U.S. *adds deadpan* ...can we just wall them off Escape From New York style and ignore them?

The Rev. Al Sharpton plans to be in North Charleston this weekend to preach at a church in the aftermath of the fatal shooting of a black man by a white officer after a traffic stop.

Sharpton told The Associated Press on Friday that his message to the congregation of the Charity Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday will be that people pursue justice "in a peaceful, legal way."

Anthony Scott, the brother of victim Walter L. Scott, tells The Associated Press, that a representative of Sharpton's National Action Network has been working with family since the shooting last weekend.

Sharpton says he will not attend Scott's funeral Saturday because of a scheduling conflict. Anthony Scott says the funeral is open to the public.

How long does it take to get out of the void that racist policies have created? When do you stop blaming injustices of the past and start blaming yourself or being accountable for the situation at hand?

Don't scare them, DirtRider; that might frighten them... *turns snark meter off* :tup2:

Much of what is ignored is the still existing--institutionalized and systemic--racism that still occurs. Yeah, you could stroll into the bad part of Compton or Detroit and find racism at it's best, but most people choose to ignore the racism that is swept under the rug. I'm not saying there are people of color out there who don't blame others for the injustices of the past. That still happens, yes, but it shouldn't because we're a new generation. But the new generation is still very ignorant to the racism that exists. Just because slavery is illegal and we have a black president doesn't mean the United States is not racist.

Racism will always be apart of life no matter what you say or do and it depends on how you want to handle the situation and how you want to move forward or even if you really want to move forward

But why is that? Why will there always be racism? When will it end? It's important to understand why these things exist and why it continues to run rampant despite the fact that we know damn well it's uncalled for and very ignorant and small minded.

Part of "White Privilege" requires that *we* understand and accept that "That's Just The Way Things Are",

or else it won't *work* anymore.

People need something to blame for their weaknesses so what better way but to blame it on someone else or another race. We see this everyday my side when some ethnic groups just cannot get it right it is because of ........

As long as there is a liberal leftist there will be people blaming others of racism and injustice for everything that happens in peoples lives.

The race baiters in America have to keep this absolute false narrative that there is still rampant racism in America everywhere to consolidate there power even though everything from who we elect as president, congress and in the states and local communities says otherwise. Let alone the current line of people running for president and the potential people yet to announce makes us evil white people the minority. It ain't rampant it is just a powerful few who fuel the flames across America making it look that way.

That is so far from the truth and probably one of the dumbest things I've read in a while.

Reality says otherwise when you name the race baiters stirring up the pot from Obama to Sharpton. All leftists loving the divide.

Ignorance is a human trait. As long as there are people living in this world who continue to spread the word of hate based on things people can't control (and shouldn't have to control), whether you're an average Nebulous or a politician, it doesn't matter, but this will always exist until we learn from our mistakes and grow up.

We're human and we will never all learn from our mistakes.

That doesn't mean we should give up. Just because some won't learn doesn't mean the majority can't. The important thing is that we try new things when what we were doing before wasn't working. That effort allows us to reflect on our mistakes, to work together to see where we can improve, and to carry on those changes.
