30,000-piece jigsaw puzzle because that would be fun (for a while)... The dictionary would be boring from the get-go.

I'd go with the dictionary. I'm sure I'd learn plenty of new words from A to Z!
 
I could chip away at the puzzle and stay fairly content during the whole process (most likely, can't say I've done any puzzle remotely that large).

The dictionary. I hate jigsaws because I have neither the patience nor the dexterity to do them.
