Made up story time!
A murder has occured aboard the Federation starship USS Voyager, currently lost in the Delta Quadrant. Body of Ensign Vorik, young engineer has been found on the holodeck. Lieutenant Tuvok, Voyager's Chief of security and the ship's Doctor, EMH Mark I, are conducting the investigation.
After examining the crime scene, EMH's theatrical subroutine kicks in and he proclaims: "Alas, poor Vorik! I knew him, Lieutenant."
Tuvok, naturally, finds the Doctor's reaction illogical and rolls his Vulcan eyes.
