San Francisco children were recorded on video having to walk past what appeared to be one of the city’s open-air drug dens on their way home from school.

Ricci Wynne posted the video on Twitter last week, writing that the students were getting off the 14 transit line on 8th and Mission Streets when they encountered what appeared to be the homeless encampment sprawled across the sidewalk. "This is no back ally [sic]," Wynne wrote. "This is a main artery in our city that has been hijacked bye [sic] drug dealers and now it is Pure filth!"

The video shows a stream of children and other passengers getting off the public transit system before the camera cuts to the sidewalk, where a group of apparently homeless people was gathered. Wynne added, "Now ask yourself this question would you want your children to walk through this squalor just to get home from school?"

Yeah San Francisco is nuts! I've walked through some of that in SF myself. I would never raise a kid there.

Been there a few times years ago; wouldn't go back there now given how far the city has fallen.

A few years ago it was more chill. Now it's pretty insane. If I am going to an event there I'll find parking near the venue, get in watch the show and when its over immediately get back on the freeway to safety!

Just being able to say you stood in the shadow of the Castro Theatre sign made being there worthwhile.

One time I was at the Safeway across the street from there and this huge brawl broke out in the parking lot. A bunch of gangsters fighting in the middle of a neighborhood with rainbow flags all over

So that's how you and Tony met, okay then...

California has become a third world shithole because of decades of liberal ideas they think makes society better. How bad will those people let the place get before they realize the free shit they keep promising isn’t helping anyone.

California has become a third world shithole
San Francisco and LA has, most other cities are still nice.
California is like many place: it has its good places and its' not-so-good places. Economically speaking, they must be doing something right having the 5th-largest economy in the world at present...

About that…. If our economy is so good then we can afford to lower the prices of some stuff around here! Living in the most expensive part of the country sucks sometimes.

Every major city is a homeless drug infested dump.

The state has bigger debt than most countries.

Middle class and rich have moved out in record numbers.

Fortune 500 companies have said goodbye or is in the works.

It may have had the 5th largest economy but those days are gone.

And I suspect if we peel back the tourist film off of most Florida communities we'd likely find similar situations....

We've had that conversation but if you want a refresher here's a reminder from those who actually do business in California...
If California were a country, it would immediately be a global force to be reckoned with. It is no secret that California is the largest and most productive state in the United States. Between Silicon Valley, Hollywood, agriculture, and tourism, there is plenty to be excited about in the Golden State.

California’s GDP in 2021 was $3.35T, representing 14.6% of the total U.S. economy. If California were a country, it would be the 5th largest economy in the world, more productive than India and the United Kingdom.

--- --- ---

In terms of military power, California has the most active-duty service members out of any state in the U.S., plus one of the largest nuclear weapons research and manufacturing facilities in the world. Plus, some of the world’s most influential companies reside in California: Disney, Apple, Google, Facebook, Oracle, and Wells Fargo to name a few. For stock investors, California shareholders have performed exceptionally well. If California were an independent nation, no doubt that it would do quite well on a global stage...

And you would be wrong including Miami. No city is perfect but we don’t have anywhere near the issues as California

You can repeat it but it’s no longer the case for some time.

No, I asked you to prove otherwise.

Ok don’t stand by it.

Highest homeless rate in the nation.

Highest unemployment in the country.

Highest state debt in the trillions in the country.

Highest poverty rate in the country.

Highest departures of Fortune 500 companies in America.

Highest departures of wealth in the country.

They are not 5th, not even close.

Highest amount of money spent on

I forgot you're an expert on the whole state because you've visited LA a couple times and got your right-wing echo chamber news feed brainwashing you all day long. :P
