Okay. You can't judge an entire generation for the actions of a few. People will always have problems. There is a thing called Mental Awareness. People with Mental Illness have and will always continue to exist. You're just making a deal about it because the media has shown a light on it.

I have before. You cannot convince them or give them a reality check. They are convinced that the things going on in their mind is real and it's as real to them as religion is to a Christian. There is nothing you can do or say to convince them otherwise. You just end up doing what their licensed psychologist tells you to do. You have little to no control of what goes on in their mind when it's that bad.

Parents have every ability to not go along with it like generations before them have done for thousands of years.
It’s real to them because kids have mush for brains and are being told by irresponsible adults this kind of behavior is acceptable. So yes there is something you can do to tell them otherwise.
If mentally disturbed people upset you, ignore it and go on with your life.
