Is environmentalism an important factor in politics in your country? Is there a political party that is focused on green issues?

Should environmentalism be a priority?

In Britain there is a Green Party. Yes to the 2nd question.

It’s just another group of people that use scare tactics to have power over you using environmentalism to scare easily susceptible people into believing their nonsense.

In my country, every political party cares about one thing only - lining their pockets with money, so everything they say and / or do is a mere charade, a pretense to get the voters. I don't recall any of them ever even mentioning environmental issues, much less doing anything about them.

Same here!

It isn't as important an issue here as it should be. To the point that even the most token gestures which are woefully inadequate represent quite massive changes in the political landscape. We do have a Green Party here, I am a member of them and have previously served in a minor administrative volunteer role for them. I was campus convener for their outreach branch at my uni for a year. It was an interesting experience. There absolutely should be emphasis given to it, but it must be part of a critique of the entire political system. You can meaningfully address environmental issues without also addressing social and cultural issues as well.
