I think more people will secretly vote Republican this November if they never did prior because of what the current administration and DOJ are doing (or not doing). We need changes to save our country...desperately. Well to be fair we are suffering the effects of what the previous administration did too. All the chaos Trump created will have lingering effects for years, same as what this chump Biden is doing now.

I have been too at times; the point I was trying to make is that when all we seek are the material things in life - which are important; I'm not dismissing those - we often forget who we are as human beings. We lose ourselves trying to keep up with the Joneses' and trying to acquire material riches when in the end, we can't take any of those things with us.

And its' one my biggest pet peeves even back in the days when I was on the Right the idea that as long as you're materially well-off that's all that matters. It isn't - some of the most miserable people I've ever run into were rich people and you could tell they were miserable of spirit.

Trying to feed your family because the economy is better under one administration than the other is not being overly-materialistic though. Right now people are struggling. Everything costs more, even mac and cheese which is staple in some households with kids. It's not like everyone got a big raise this year and some raises didn't make up for the high inflation. Sometimes voting the wallet is best for families in need.
