There are people that can never have a good night rest unless they take a bottle of alcohol. I used to have a friend that struggled with this addiction before getting help from his fiancee. Do you have this type of addiction?

I don't drink that often, my dad was a bad alcoholic when I was a child and I don't want to end up like him. He eventually went to rehab and it helped. I don't like the taste of most alcohol anyways. xD
Mostly this. I don't drink at all, though. My father was a heavy alcoholic who went to bed drunk every evening and spent a great deal of his paycheck on alcohol. He never went to rehab, suffered from a liver cirrhosis he "earned" himself with constant boozing, and always made sure he doesn't run out of alcohol.
His alcohol addiction has had a devastating effect not only on his health, but on the whole family, since he did what alcoholics do best when drunk - abused me and my mother. Well, I'm not going down that road. I'm staying sober at any cost, even if means suffering myself, but no one around me shall suffer because of me. Better dead than drunk.
And yes, the taste of alcoholic beverages is repulsive. I don't know how anyone can even drink that stuff. Yuck!
