Once more, the Right is making a mountain out of a molehill....

The show itself isn't entirely faithful to the source material and the source material was written in a time when "equal rights" extended as far as the next white man. It's perfectly fine to adapt and take liberties, particularly in the name of inclusivity. Hell, Gandalf was played by an openly gay man, did anyone enjoy it less because he wasn't a faithful recreation of Gandalf? No.

I don’t care so much about the races even though it does make it confusing in the storyline like is that your daughter who is white but the father is black and the mother is Spanish. This kind of stuff is throughout the show. But overall it’s just terrible writing and boring! The woman hero elf is annoying and they don’t even make her likable. And the political Condescending tone throughout the episodes makes me hate every last character and wanting the bad guys to win and level middle earth to a wasteland.

I enjoyed the original because he was a fantastic actor that created a fantastic movie and didn’t want to know or care who he sleeps with.
