Some people plan on taking up new hobbies when they retire. Are there some hobbies you would like to start later in life?

Maybe I'll take up golfing.

...No interest in it right now, but maybe later I will be.

I've already retired. I retired in May 2013.

I just mostly muddle around in the kitchen.

But my husband has an interesting hobby now that he is retired and has plenty of time to do pretty much what he wants to. He likes to find old, rusty hulks and turn them into street rods.

The last one he built...a 1950 Packard:

Wow! He has done an awesome job with those cars!

I like cooking, I might do a lot more of that when I retire

Wow, VERY nice!! That's a great hobby and he clearly has a knack for it!

I'm starting to think retirement is for people who are either wealthy or semi wealthy who, over the years, were able to put back a nice chunk of money into their IRA fund. I'll probably be working until I'm dead and I really really hate that idea.

I know plenty of blue collar peeps who retired and are doing just fine. It just depends on where you work. I hope you don't have to work until you're dead though!
