I imagine him being as over the top in real life as he was on screen, but I'm sure in real life he was probably falling apart. So many funny people are so, so depressed behind the mask.
Yeah, I suppose his death did raise a lot of awareness for depression so that could be one good thing that came of it. Still sad though.
