Do you give money to any charities or organizations?

Which ones?

Which ones are the best to donate to? Why?

Yes. Salvation Army, Disabled American Vets.
Worthy causes IMO.

I give to a few....
-Blue Ridge Public Radio
-WNCW 88.7
-St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital
-The Trevor Project

I try to, particularly:

-St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital
-Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
-The Trevor Project

I would add more and give more if I had the means.

Hate to say, I don't give to any. I tend to think that my small donation won't make a difference in the grand scheme of things. But I know people will say "If everyone thought like that then they wouldn't get any donations" and they'd probably be right.

However if someone I know personally is having a crisis and sets up a GoFundMe, I've donated to those a few times (if that counts).

Nothing wrong with that viewpoint, it's your money and you have the right to dictate where it goes!

Of course it's still the same. It might not be an organization but you're still giving your money to help someone else.

I've even marked myself as anonymous when donating so I can feel good about helping them out and I don't have to make them feel obligated to repay me somehow (or profusely thank me).

I always use my name as if it's over $5 I can claim a percentage back on the next tax year IF they're registered as a charity.

I always give to St. Jude's.
