Pasta is my favorite meal. If I get home late from work, I just peel an onion and some mushrooms and cook them in a little olive oil. Then I add some tomato sauce and spices and let the whole thing simmer for a little while. Finally, I boil some water and throw the pasta in. Once it's cooked, I drain the pasta, throw some sauce on top, and eat dinner.

Do you like pasta? Have you ever made it homemade?

Never made homemade pasta but I do like it. Can't go wrong with some noodles! Very filling and very tasty.

I make pasta all the time at work, i wish i could say i cook more at home.
My meatsauce pasta at work consists of gr beef (at home ii also add chuck steak). Onions, lots of garlic, Oregano, salt, pepper, sugar and Parsley.
I first blanch the onions and garlic in teh pan before adding the beef, then brown the beef in with the onions and garlic. Once browned i add my seasoning along with a bit of water, just enough to cover everything and mix well with the seasoning. Bringing it to a rapid boil most of the water has boiled off and the meat had taken in all the flavours. Then i will add crushed or stewed tomatoes and a rue to thicken it a bit, then turn down the heat and let simmer for about 2 hrs.

Pasta's a regular staple food for me most weeks.

Usually what I'll do is brown and cook ground meat (most times, ground chicken or turkey, sometimes vegetarian sausage) with onions and garlic. Once they're cooked enough, I'll add sauce and diced tomatoes (either fire-roasted or with onions & peppers) and cook it for about 10-15 minutes.

Meanwhile, I'll boil up some water in a separate pot and use that to cook the pasta in, cooking up the pasta until its' just tender enough to pick up with a fork (most times I use penne pasta, sometimes fusilli, bow tie or rotini). Once the pasta's cooked, I'll add it to the meat and sauce and heat it up a few more minutes before serving. 😋 :yummy:
