If your best friend threatened you with a gun?

It would really depend on the circumstances and what their plans were going forward. There could be any number of reasons for them to pull something like that. If they were going to take sincere steps to address the issue, such as getting professional help, then I would remain friends with them. Although I would be more cautious around them.
There's no amount of apologies that can make up for pointing a gun at me over a damn disagreement. There's no coming back from that with me. You threatened my life therefore you will no longer be in it. You don't exist to me. Oh yeah, calling the cops too.
Friends don't threaten you with a gun. If this is what you call a friend then I suggest rethinking what it means to be your friend because you clearly don't know what a friend is.
I would call that friendship dead and would never talk to that person again after the incident occurred. I might not have gotten murdered in that moment but they did murder our friendship just by doing that.
