How do you feel about this like it or hate it?
I love okra!!
Only fresh, or in soups or gumbos.
Have tried to grow okra, and had limited success. That was how I discovered that the short-lived bloom looks exactly like a hibiscus.
Our temps in the spring & early summer here have such widespread swings; okra loves a consistently hot, humid climate.
......Just happens that my son sent this pic last month: said it was the biggest okra he's ever seen.

Beautiful photo . for a long time i didn't even know it had such a beautiful flower and nice to see I'm not the only one i like okra.
Spicy stew with okra soung great, never had before .
I have enjoyed it in gumbo, but it scares me off menus because of the bad rep

I love fried okra. It's the only way I'll eat it too haha.
