"While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the attendance at this week’s AEW Dynamite might be impacted due to a major NHL Stanley Cup game taking place at the same time as Dynamite will be taking place at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, CA.

According to Meltzer, the Edmonton Oilers are facing off against the Vancouver Canucks, and despite the game being held in Vancouver, it’s creating a ton of buzz in Edmonton. He also pointed out that there’s a massive watch party in Edmonton, right near where AEW Dynamite is being held."

1. To be fair, they book these venues far out in advance, and nobody knows what's going to happen in regards to the NBA and NHL playoffs. I get you cant stand Tony Khan because you're a Cornette mark but lets use common sense here lol. Hockey is a huge deal in Canada, it doesn't matter if WWE was running a show the same night, the same probably would have happened.

2. I don't read the AEW subreddit either, nor do I look at r/squaredcircle. It's like looking at Twitter and I actually have a lot of wrestling terms blocked over there because I cant stand the tribalism anymore.
