Annoying members

I am dying laughing reading this

Am I annoying?

I've been accused of being an annoying member myself.

I tend to post a lot. I just like forums and the idea of being social on them. I can get into posting sprees. I always try to post good content, though.

But some people don't like folks who post a lot. I've been threatened to be banned for it. I usually don't come back to the forum after that.

Join any of my forums and post as much as you want! Heck, we can compete! :D Posting is what a forum is for.

Do any of you find folks who post too much to be annoying?

Outside of some typical personalities that are also annoying irl like attention seekers and wannabe know it alls, I actually find people who post for the sake of posting annoying.

I’ve been on forums where there’s a couple of people with obnoxiously high post counts because they’ll pick a sub forum that day and make at least one post in every single thread, and 90% of them don’t really add to the conversation. When you post in 50 threads in less than an hour, doesn’t sound like you put much thought into your posts.

Not saying you need to post high tier intellectual posts, but you can’t really have a discussion with someone if they’re basically borderline spamming.

100% quality over quantity!

100% quality over quantity!
Pretty much. I knew a user on a forum who gave herself some goal of making a minimum number of threads each day. So each day she’d log in and make like 8 threads every day.

It got pretty annoying because not only were they usually low quality to begin with, she’d either basically make the same thread repeatedly, or just blatantly make the same thread repeatedly. If the story didn’t get any worse for this girl, it wasn’t unusual where it looked like she had a seizure in the middle of the OP and half the words weren’t fully typed, or was so excited to make the thread she didn’t even finish the sentence.
