    I would suggest to the new owner to change the name. There is an older forum with the same name and that might be withholding its growth. ;)

    Most of the time text if it's a short communication or is not something urgent. It all depends on what it is.

    Do you let members advertise in their profile statuses?

    I think user's profile is their own space within the forum. If a user does contribute to the community, they should be allowed to do so. Always within parameters not posting bad links or something that goes against the general rules of the forum. There should be a way to filter out profile posts...

    When members don't take responsibility...

    Maybe putting his/her account under moderating mode or removing that bad apple from the container. To be part of a community one must behave as a social creature. It's nothing personal, it is what it is.

    How often do you post new topics on your forum?

    Some days I have like 100 questions in my mind and I post threads. Other days I just read and follow the flow on what's on the table. I do like to keep up with the threads I open until is dead. That's why I don't open many threads within a short period of time.

    Religion does more harm than good?

    In general, without religions, the world would be a total wild-west. Thanks to religions many good believes systems have been implanted in human's brains. So, I believe that religions are good for the world.
