    My advice to you is not to change just for the sake of changing. Make sure whatever you're going to add is really, truly needed otherwise it will all be in vain and won't help your forum (and might even make the situation worse). Also, even if you need change, just a theme won't help much...

    I use both, without really thinking about it. It's just whatever sounds better in the sentence at the time I guess, and so that's what I type.

    I run a role playing forum, so I don't really care if members do this. We don't use character accounts but some people still like to have multiple accounts to rp with. It helps with activity too.

    If you aren't cut out for running your forum, you shouldn't be running it. It'll just be a burden on you, and forums should only be fun. Hand off the forum to a co-admin or trusted staff, or go the full route and close down the forum.

    I have 2 staff plus a co-admin on Affinity, and we really don't need more than that and 4 of us is plenty if not overkill already. On Link Up, I need more staff just to keep each staff member from being overworked in the services department. So I'd say it highly depends on your board's genre...

    Docking animal tails

    Some animals, if their ears are not docked, will have ear problems for their whole lives. I see no problem with it for that reason. If the ear or tail is being sold or used for something else similar to that, that's not right in my opinion.
