    Swearing

I think that, to some extent, it often just depends on the forum. I don't allow heavy language on mine to protect the reputation of the forum and to discourage low quality content, but I don't really see the need to censor everything to every detail. It's a PG-13 forum. I don't know of any 13...

    Religion now allowed!

I've seen religious debates done properly and improperly. The problem comes when someone from either side decides to go and flame the other side out of rage or anger. I've seen it from both the religious and the nonreligious. Quite frankly, I don't enjoy participating in it, but hey, who does...

Women ditch razors in hairy legs campaign

Goodness, the one on the very left has more hair on her legs than I do, and I'm a man. :P

    My computer dead

I'm surprised Microsoft is trying to phase Windows 7 out this early. I know it's still possible to obtain Windows 7 OEM licenses easily, but non OEM licenses are a little harder to obtain. I guess Microsoft is just that passionate about Windows 8. :P

    My computer dead

You could probably recover it by reinstalling the operating system. Something probably got bricked somewhere. You may have too many startup applications that are hogging your RAM or something of that sort as well if a virus isn't the issue. A professional should be able to do a proper cleanup...

    First concert?

A rush concert at the age of 12. MIght have been one of the youngest to attend, but it was a pretty good concert. Well worth it.

    AMD or Intel?

On laptops, the 4th generation i3 and i5 chips are almost exactly the same. The only real difference is the turbo boost, so really, the i5's are just i3 chips with a higher maximum clock rate. If only the i7 chips weren't so freaking expensive. :P

    I'm leaving!

I was one of two administrators of a community with around 30,000 posts not too long ago, and I had quite a bit of firsthand experience dealing with that sort of situation (despite the forum's small size). I've found it's generally an act of retaliation or at least in part has something to do...

Justin Bieber Ordered To Pay $80k Over Egging

I don't see how throwing eggs at a house causes $80,000 in damage. It's immature for sure, but even if the windows were breaking, $80,000? Seriously? Then again, the whole thing has probably taught him a lesson... hopefully.

    IPB 4.0 - Screenshots

I think it is more coherant and modern than it has ever been, to be honest. I don't feel like it's really lost its identity at all, and am very much looking forward to the release. The only thing I really don't like is that the theme doesn't look so nice on the forum index. I feel that both...

    Dell Laptop Explodes

I suppose it's indeed possible that it wasn't Dell's fault if Dell wasn't the manufacturer for the battery. I don't have a habit of purchasing from Dell for various reasons, but I don't worry about explosions from their products either. It's not a reputation that they have as a company. Then...

    Opinion on hyper-v?

I've never used hyper-v, but I've never really had any issues with Virtualbox. It runs very well on my system, and the IO is the only thing that has really kept me from running several at a time. :P Then again, I'm not usually using my virtualbox VMs for anything serious, besides simply testing...

    Tips

I work at a restaurant, and I must say, it's really a shame that it's a part of the culture for tips to be the majority of the pay for the server. Servers are generally paid somewhere around $2.13/hour (the minimum wage for a server), and unless you are a very bad server, that pretty much all...

    Friday or Saturday?

I work some very heavy hours through the weekends, so to be honest, I thin kI actually prefer Mondays and Tuesdays. If I am going with Friday or Saturday, I probably prefer Friday just because work isn't quite as busy.

Social media addicts vie for island 'detox'

I think three weeks is more reasonable than three days, but I doubt they'd get as many signups at that point. :P

    Neighbors

I got the police at my door once thanks to a neighbor. She thought drugs were being burned in the fireplace... I haven't really had any bad experiences since then. :P

    Username Length

Long usernames can break the layouts of some themes if the forum software doesn't break long usernames automatically. I know MyBB has that problem for the classic postbit layout, especially in themes that don't have a particularly wide column for the user information on the posts.
